Exhibition Scherven & Littekens at Nationaal Ereveld Loenen

Almost 4000 victims of war are buried on the Nationaal Ereveld Loenen. All people with their own story. Just like the characters in my books Scherven & Littekens.

From 9 July to 23 September 2021 there is an exposition in the chapel of the Field of Honour about my books.

I read the guide about managing your blog on your published site and how you can easily post and edit content for people to see, and it felt simple and clear to me. I think of a time when I still needed to take my online exam before I could share my own stories online, and doing that first made me feel proud and relaxed while I worked on my blog.

I enjoyed how the post explained managing your blog on a published website and made it feel simple to understand for anyone new to it. Last term when I was confused by big ideas in my classes, I relied on online Philosophy class to help me think deeper about questions and finish my work without stress. Reading this made me think about how learning and building skills can go hand in hand.

This exhibition sounds incredibly powerful and deeply moving. Showcasing the stories behind Scherven & Littekens at such a meaningful location, where nearly 4000 war victims rest, adds profound depth to the narrative. It’s an important reminder of personal histories within broader conflicts. Events like this deserve professional support and care—services such as concierge security services London can ensure both respectful protection and a seamless visitor experience during such sensitive and significant exhibitions.

As soon as I was able hold a pencil you could find me drawing at the dinner table. However it took me another 40 years before I made my debut as a graphic novelist.

As a narrative artist I yearn to create stories that move people. I hope to achieve this by searching for the 'great' in the 'small', for the 'extraordinary' in the 'ordinary'.

I try to catch all this in a crisp and clean style for which

I am indebted to artists I deeply admire: Yves Chaland, Joost Swarte, Seth and Chris Ware.
